Access for All Staff

To provide international staff who work outside of an RTI office and/or off of RTI's secured network to access both StaffNet and internal RTI systems—including the new human resources & payroll system and the new performance management program—ITS will implement a Virtual Private Network (VPN), i.e. a secure 'tunnel' between the RTI network and international project sites.

Who will get access?

Any staff member who does not currently have access to StaffNet or internal systems and email, including everyone who currently uses a POP3 email account (versus a Microsoft Outlook or Office 365 email account).

How will I get access?

Staff who wish to access internal systems and/or StaffNet will need to use a token to log on to the VPN, or they can access these resources via a wired connection in a project office.

When will I get access?

  • Token distribution will begin before the end of 2015, and continue through January 2016.
  • When you receive your token, you will be given information on activating it.
  • Between January and March 2016, staff who currently use POP3 email will be migrated to Office 365 email. Information on how to access Office 365 email will be provided when you are migrated.
